This weekend I watched a documentary about two guys go to berlin by hitchhike.
They start at Beijing and keeping go west by hitchhiking, before I watch this documentary I never thought that people can go this far just by hitchhikin.
of course this two guys can not found a car go straight to berlin, during this trip, there are hitchhiked nearly 90 cars or vans. but they aslo take train and airplane only in the case they had to.

ReplyDeleteI really wonder how these guys can reach Berlin only by hitchhiking. But yes, it`s not impossible. I`d like to know more about the movie, is it Chinese movie or? The story-line and so on. You wrote it`s documentary so was it something really happened?
I`d like to have more information.

I think it is difficult to hitchhike in daily life. Especially guys must be scared by driver, or drivers ignore them.
ReplyDeleteDid the guys tell the drivers about taking a documentary movie? It could become easy to hitchhike when they informed about it.
However still it was difficult for them to achieve it.

Did you also want to try it? I don't want to try hitchhiking because it sounds dangerous. I can't stand imagining that the car driver is mad and dangerous!

ReplyDeletethis is a real story, that 2 guys use DV record it and make a documentary. they did it. u can watch it online but it's chinese and no subtitle..maybe it will be hard to understand...

of course it's different to get a free ride. sometimes they waiting for couple of hours for get on a car. but seems it's more easier to do it in europea than aisa. i guess they will tell others they are taking documentary to make it easier.

I think they enjoy this trip very much. and it's a dangerous trip for sure。maybe I will try it oneday in the future.
Weren't they scared to get in cars of strangers? I guess they didn't worry about that because they really wanted to get a ride. I watched the documentary called "Free wheels east." It is about 2 guys who bicycled around the world - really! The movie is playing at the photo museum in Tokyo: http://www.syabi.com/
ReplyDeleteThey paid for their trip by themselves, so they had to hitch rides on ferries and steamers to take them from one continent to another. And when they ran out of money they had to stop riding and make money.
